This isn\u2019t because men are deadbeats \u2014 it\u2019s because the courts continue to award primary custody to mothers in the vast majority of cases, then force fathers to pay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fathers are hit with a brutal double standard. They\u2019re blocked from claiming basic tax credits like the eligible dependant credit, even though they\u2019re still supporting their children. The system treats them as cash machines, not parents. Meanwhile, the outdated formula fails to properly account for shared parenting time or a father\u2019s actual costs of maintaining a home for his kids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This broken system pushes good fathers into financial ruin, depression, and sometimes suicide \u2014 all while the government and courts act like they\u2019re doing what\u2019s best for children. They\u2019re not. They\u2019re destroying men\u2019s lives and pretending it\u2019s justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The child support guidelines haven\u2019t kept up with modern parenting. They were built for a world where dads were absent, not for today\u2019s fathers who want to be actively involved.
